Work Description:

Best Karpet Klean carpet assistants are the lifeline of their technician. They need to have knowledge of all carpet cleaning equipment, cleaning chemicals and repair equipment. Successful candidates will be expected to learn effective and efficient carpet cleaning techniques from their assigned carpet technician. Duties include managing set-up and clean-up, chemicals and equipment needed at each job site.

Carpet assistants are also expected to be able to communicate with customers in an effective and professional manner. Assistants need to be able to maintain all equipment and vehicles properly to maximize longevity. Successful candidates will also be expected to properly complete daily paperwork pertaining to work done at each job site.

Requirements:

• Experience in carpet cleaning, carpet repair, and/or carpet installation preferred
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Acceptable driving record with less than 4 points and with no DUI or suspensions in the past 5 years is required.
• Must be available to be on on-call rotation for a certain period of time each month.
• Must be willing and able to work long hours when the job requires it, sometimes on a regular basis.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work well with others and be a contributing team player.
• Must be polite, friendly, clean, and organized.
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Job Functions:

• Complete carpet cleaning, carpet repair, and water mitigation work orders as assigned.
• Effectively manage daily and weekly schedules in an efficient manner.
• Complete daily paperwork pertaining to work done at each job site.
• Supervise a crew of two working on carpet in residential, commercial, and apartment buildings.
• Ensure that the carpet assistant properly maintains equipment, vehicles, and facilities, as well as keeping job sites clean and running effectively.
• Professionally and effectively communicate with maintenance supervisors, property managers, residential homeowners, and business owners.
• Other duties as assigned based on customer needs and service requested.
